Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her acting career as a supporting actress in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). She later played reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt and also played a minor role in the series that ran for a short time The Ex List. In FX's first season of American Horror Story, she was Moira O'Hara's younger character. She later played Kaylee in the third season. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voiced several characters from Family Guy's animated comedy series. Since 2019, she has starred as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10 years old when her mother and she relocated to California [1] where they lived for a year before moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to take an interest in singing, acting, and photography when she was 13. When she was 15, she relocated with her mother to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
