Dakota Blue Richards was born in England. She is most well-known for her character of Lyra Belaqua in the film 'The Golden Compass' Franky Fitzgerald on the third series of British teens' drama Skins. There is also a long performance history on stage in various plays, including 'Arcadia' as well as A Streetcar Named Desire. She is a London resident, Richards grew up in Sussex. Richards was a student in a couple of drama classes at the school, however she attended the bulk of her acting lessons on weekends. Also, she skipped classes to attend auditions.
